Completely re-working my U/B zombie deck. I need to stop trying to shove so many combos in 63 cards.

Hey, I like questions.

Contrary to popular belief I have no problem with talking to people. As long as we can both talk about something we find interesting.

Sooooooo, questions. Give me some. Ask me about music stuff, or movies, or books. Horror related things will start a nice conversation if you actually know something about them.

QUESTIONS, YEA!!!! :D

Now that’s a nice card.

This card…is awesome. Yay U/B! Also, I really love the art on this. Makes me want a bunch to make a dice box with.

Official ruling from Wizards-
Whenever a creature card is put into an opponent’s graveyard from his or her library, the triggered ability of each Undead Alchemist you control will trigger. The first such ability to resolve will exile that creature card and create a Zombie token. Subsequent abilities won’t exile the creature card, but each will create another Zombie token.

>:D AH-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAI thought this might happen, but I was not quite sure and wanted to double check before I started racking zombies up for having multiple copies out.

Friday Flashback… Protection - Why DEBT?

sarroth:

Last fall I had to give up writing for this blog regularly. When the summer came to a close and my duties as a graduate student became greater with the new school year, I simply didn’t have the time to write as often as I had gotten myself into. I continue to post to the blog occasionally, and these posts have gained me even more followers than previously. As much as followers have the ability to look back on the archives of those they follow, there’s a lot there, and I know they don’t really have time. I still don’t have a whole lot of time to write weekly articles with any regularity as I used to, but for now I’d like to provide something regular on here, even if it is a “Best of Disciple of the Cards.” There are some posts as well as card designs that I’m really proud of, and reposting them should make it easier for newer followers to check out my past work.  I started by reposting the details of Booster Cap Magic, a constructed format I created, to make it easier for my brother and his friends to find. From now until the summer, when I may have time to get back into writing more regularly, I would like to continue to repost some of my favorite work (with edits) during these Friday Flashbacks.

This week I would like to reexamine my question on the ability protection. Why does protection include dealing damage, enchanting, blocking, and targeting (DEBT)? Since I wrote this, I’ve come to another realization: That perhaps the helpful acronym is missing something when it comes to what protection actually protects a creature or player from.

Goodbye?

So I’m not sure how many people on here know that I am in a band called I Made A Monster, but soon I will no longer be.

Not too long ago the band had a meeting and it was decided that on May 21st, we will be putting the monster to sleep. There is so much going on in our own personal lives that we can not give the band the proper focus and attention it needs to survive and thrive in an (in my opinion) already toxic scene.

I am saddened, yet at the same time I’m not. The best shows I’ve ever played, the most fun I have ever had, the best material I have ever written was put into this band. It started out as the band that I truly believed was meant to be in but over time it continued to change and change and I personally think that is one of the reasons that I started to lose interest.

It was not the only reason though. Me personally, I started to go through a phase where I just did not have it in me to create anything musically. It was terrible. I still have this trouble from time to time. I don’t fiddle with my laptop or play with my guitar nearly as much as I used to. My personal lack of commitment to not just the band but music itself caused me to be a rotting corpse that had to be dragged around, and each member is going through other personal problems as well. While it is sad that something that started out so beautiful must now die it is for the best.

This is not the first time a band ending has led to more good than bad. The last band that I was in, This Day Means Nothing, also ended in a less than perfect way. We split into factions and then split as a band but because of this two better bands were created. I feel that once we get our lives back on track the same thing will happen again. New bands will be formed and as we mature as people we will also mature as musicians. We will learn from our mistakes and build upon our triumphs. Maybe I Made A Monster will come back, stronger than before. But right now we are dead.

Whether we come back, form new projects, or sell our gear and walk away from the stages and cramped cars the fact remains that as a musician this last year was my best. I’ve played places I only talked about playing in my former bands. I’ve written songs with some of my favorite musicians and played with many amazing bands. Despite being incredibly shy I have even made some new friends along the way.

Andy, Ant, Kyle, Rob. You guys are some of my best friends, and it’s sad that this can’t go on longer. I hope we all continue doing something. Even if it’s not together, because you all are extremely talented guys and I will miss sharing the stages with you.
